Certified Professional Estimator

 

Who Should Attend

This one-week course is designed to challenge the skills and proficiencies of experienced estimators, provide hands-on exercises with emphasis on complex collision damages and reward the participant with a recognized designation of professionl achievement.

Prerequisite

1. Candidate must have attended a basic automotive damage estimating training program and have been producing estimates for a minimum of 24 months.

2. Must be proficient in using automated estimating systems.

Course Content

Designed to challenge an experienced estimator, this one-week course uses the same hands-on learning approach we've employed for years to maximize candidate comprehension. Course topics are included in the Course Syllabus.

The course uses a variety of real-world loss scenarios complete with damaged vehicles. Proficiency exercises and test estimates challenge the candidate to demonstrate damage analysis and repair knowledge. The STAR (Structural Analysis and Realignment) Program is included to teach strucutural damage analysis and control point realignment documentation.

What is a Certified Professional Estimator?

A Professional in the field

A Certified Professional Estimator has the knowledge and experience to assess damage and to make repair decisions based on the manufacturer's specifications, accepted industry procedures, and saftey concerns.

Having the knowledge to make important decisions is what sets the Certified Professional Estimator apart. The Certified Professional Estimator designation is earned through the successful completion of a series of tests, evaluations and training exercises covering many areas of damage analysis and repair procedures. Each area requires the Certified Professional Estimator to comprehend the material and to demonstrate proficiency in each segment.

An experienced professional

Attainment of the Certified Professional Estimator designation is based on a combination of experience and training. Most Certified Professional Estimators have an extensive knowledge base and have been produceing estimates for at least three years.

Only the experienced professional who has demonstrated experience and commitment to the industry is considered a candidate for the Certified Professional Estimator designation.

A Certified Professional Estimator is dedicated to the industry he/she serves. By successfully completing the program, each designee is casting a vote for professionalism. His/her conduct is exemplified by adherence to the Code of Conduct.
