Senior-Level Residential Estimating
Who Should Attend
With increasing severities, regulations, customer service goals, service provider relations and higher home values, estimators, adjusters, and supervisors, are required to demonstrate a depth of knowledge and skills that competently address these issues.
This senior-level residential estimating course is designed to broaden scoping and estimating skills on complex losses and to recommend cost-saving solutions based on accepted industry practices.
Prerequisite
Candidates must be experienced in generating automated estimates, have completed a property damage estimating course, and have a minimum of two years of field or comparable experience.
Course Content
This one-week class begins with a proficiency exercise to determine the skill base so the course can be tailored to address content. Scoping and estimating exercises are discussed and assigned on structural components, roofing, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and flooring. Other special subjects such as older homes and high value dwellings are addressed and discussed. Attendees prepare automated estimates on the latest versions of electronic estimating software offered at Vale National.
As a senior-level course, many in-class discussions are spontaneously fielded to examine and evaluate some of the challenging topics encountered during structural damage estimating.
Course Benefits
Successful completion of this course will give attendees the skills to scope and electronically generate estimates involving complex damages on residential structures and have the confidence to demonstrate that knowledge.
